From our property you have access to more than 40 km of trails and hikes in Bucegi National Park. Experienced hikers have the option to hike up to the Peak of Omu, but for beginners we recommend the Bran (Poarta) – Valea Gaura – Saua Hornurilor – Valea Ciubotea – Bran (Poarta) route. Along the way, you’ll see some of the most beautiful valleys, waterfalls, dense forests, and steep terrain equipped with chains.
Although lesser-known, Bran has two ski slopes: Bran Zanoaga and Bran Poarta. The latter is just a 3-minute drive from Norma Bran property. With easy and intermediate difficulty levels, these slopes are ideal for winter sports enthusiasts looking to improve their skills. Upon request, we can arrange for ski or snowboard lessons with a professional instructor, for an additional fee.
The best known tourist attraction in Bran is undoubtedly Bran Castle, famously known as “Dracula’s Castle.” It’s a fascinating place for both children and adults and well worth a visit! For those seeking more thrills and a taste of the atmosphere described in Bram Stoker’s novel, Dracula, we recommend checking out the Castle of Horror. Other nearby attractions include the Bat Cave Moeciu, Râșnov Fortress, and Grădiștei Gorges.
